I started building Pasito because I wanted to follow teachers, event planners, and DJs and automatically know when they post or recommend a new event, without needing to weed through Instagram or Facebook.

I also want to try to get the people going to classes to start coming to more socials, and the people at socials to discover all the amazing teachers out there.

The current version is Phase 1, events. I'll start Phase 2, classes, soon.

Dashboard

Manage the events, series, and people you follow. Eventually this will be where you also manage your own events.

Profiles

A profile can be a user, event series, event, or location. They can be followed and boosted.

Event Series

An event series is a collection of events that a user can follow to be notified when there is a new event posted.

Event

An event can be standalone or part of an event series. If the user follows the event series, they will be notified of new events in the series, if the user follows the event, they’ll be notified if it is canceled.

Following

Users can follow other users, event series, events, and locations to get notified of updates. When the user follows a:

  • Notified when the user publishes a new event
  • Notified when the user boosts an event or event series

  • Notified when a new event is published

  • Soon: Notified if the event is canceled
  • Soon: Notified if the organizer posts an update
• Location
  • Notified when a new event at the location is published

Boosting

Users can “boost” an event or event series as a way of promoting it to their followers.

Who can boost something?

• Admins
• Ambassadors
• Soon: All users

Calendar Feed

Users can add a calendar feed to their calendar and have events they follow automatically show up in their calendar.
