This dance workshop will include movement from the Yoruba Orisha canon with popular toques (rhythms/ dances). The class will include movement sequences, characterization, musicality, interpretation within a multiplicity of staccato, linear, undulated, and curved movement in either a male or female Orisha energy. Major Orishas include Elegua, Ogun, Ochosi, Yemaya, Ochun, Obatala, Chango, Babalu Aye & Oya.
